Father's Day

You probably know of this event I forgot to mention on the blog. It's called:

The most plausible explanation as to why I forgot to wish all the fathers out there a good day is that mine is being kind of a poop head. I mean, apart from the part where he abandons my mom with three kids and leaves with the car when we live in the suburbs and go to school + work in the city. Or the part when he doesn't seem to really like me, but rather likes his sons a whole lot more. OR the part when he forgets (purposely or not) to wish me a happy birthday, Did I mention he FORGOT to wish me a happy 17th birthday? I know I'm one to not like to celebrate my own bday, but that's hitting an all time low.

Anyhow, to all those I may have offended: HAPPY BELATED FATHER'S DAY.

You hear that Dad?

Happy day to you.

Brains and Stuff

I have a choice to make: what to study at University. Like most, I have to deal with a wide range of ideas from teachers, family, friends, and everyone else that deems it necessary for me to hear what they have to say. Sometimes, I think they forget that the choice is still kind of mine.

Anyhow, I either want to go into International Relations (work for the UN, help people, fix problems as best I can, NOT PAY TAXES BECAUSE I DON'T WORK FOR A SPECIFIC COUNTRY,...) or Neuroscience.

Right now, Neuroscience is winning.

I could 1) Stay away from humans while still studying them in a far away lab

2) STUDY BRAINS :D

3) Well... Finally understand what the fuck is wrong with me. In the inside. Deal with all my issues. That kind of stuff. My friend G thinks I should just go see a psychiatrist for that. Or some kind of counselor. Which I did. Except the said "counselor" had a two month waiting list. And I just rather spend up to 7 years studying whats really going on in my head instead of having someone just tell me. Maybe I'll go to Tibet on a spiritual guidance trip just for the fun of it to. I hear they're great for people looking for something. That something they don't even know they're looking for.

My point is: I think I'm gonna study brains for the rest of my life,

Days, Weeks,
Months, Years,

Time and time again
I wondered

Does he remember
Can he recall

My fat fingers reaching
Beckoning to his stone face

Marble heart
That may or may not

Have melted under the blazing sun
Of Africa.

Does he imagine a life for me
As I did (do) for him?

Does he wish to gain
What we both lost

So many years ago.

Time passes,
Heals
Conceals

Reveals the true nature
Of things that have lost their importance

He implores forgiveness

Asks for redemption

Wishes the clean slate
He shamelessly specked

With unspeakable actions
Angry insults

A desertion
That today still reflects the bullet hole

From which my essence pours to the world with
Significant words

Meaning nothing.

Moulin à Rêves

Il te repère

Te trouve
T'amène

T'enchante

Tu l'as trouvé

Sun Sun.

Sun.

I need light, and warmth
to melt me

from the iced anger that had
frostbitten my lonely mind

I want to float away
be pushed and pulled by the oncoming
welcoming waves of a dark sea

where my terrors of night
 will linger no more
over my tired head

and the sound of the sea horn
will announce the end

of Lady Winter's reign
on the land
on the men and women of land

on my scrapped soul
mended by and healed

by You.
